Seamus Cater & Roddy Schrock
:::

Seamus Cater is an English musician and composer living in Amsterdam, Holland. His musical output encompasses both the acoustic and the electronic, often combining the two. Equally at home in the studio and as performer, his work is produced using rigorous and complex means where the product is deceptively simple. He works extensively with numerous international choreographers composing for modern dance works, sometimes performing scores real-time. Recent projects have included documentary film scores and installations in art galleries. As a laptop improvisor he collaborates internationally in two new electro-acoustic improvisation groups, 'Hills not Skyscrapers' and 'Afrouzeh'.

Roddy Schrock (b. 1976) is a sound artist who digitally mines the profound from everyday sound and canvasses the glitzy, rough edges of pop for its articulate immediacy. He has lived and worked in Tokyo, Holland, and New York.  He completed graduate studies at Mills College under the tutelage of Alvin Curran and John Bischoff, with post-graduate work at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague in the Netherlands.  His music has been presented at the Kunstvlaai Festival (Amsterdam), ShoboShobo (Tokyo), Music at the Anthology (New York), Sonic Circuits (Washington DC), Ostrava New Music Days (Czech Republic), and the CEAIT Festival (Los Angeles). He has also performed at many intimate galleries, cafes, bars, and even a planetarium.  He is based in San Francisco and teaches SuperCollider software at STEIM (Netherlands) in the summer. fundamentallysound.org
