| FUJITSU TEN and DRUM MACHINE MUSEUM presents Salon Music - Pure Audio Surround Concert with Time-Domain Technology Solo Looped Cello - Zoë Keating (Zoë Records, Rasputina) |
|||
| All our Whitebox VIP (Very Intense Performance) Lounge events in the past were specially curated for progressive audio/visual shows. This time we will present an unplugged 'private' recital. There will neither visual performers nor PA systems.
We going to use Fujitsu Ten's Eclipse 512 speaker system for acoustic cello performance of Zoë Keating and she will tweak it all with electronics and the result will be a Renaisance Salon that night. Please join at this 'invitation only event. Mickey T |

Zoë Keating Biography:
Although classically-trained, Zoë Keating has made a career of alternative cello playing. She has performed, toured and recorded in numerous groups including Charles Atlas, Alfred, Laughingstock, Van Gogh's Daugher, Tarentel, and John Vanderslice. Since 2002, she had been a member of NYC based cello-rock trio Rasputina, founded by Nirvana's touring cellist Melora Creager. Rasputina's latest Album, Frustration Plantation (Instinct Records), was released in April to critical acclaim. In addition to touring and recording with Rasputina, Zoë records and performs her own solo music: a series of multi-layered cello compositions performed live with electronics. She also writes scores for television and film and her music was recently featured on KQED's local arts program SPARK. |
